Mechanical Engineer PE:
​
Cheatham and Associates, PA located in the coastal community of Wilmington, NC is seeking a registered ME for HVAC design. The design projects will be for K-12 Schools, Higher Education Schools, Municipal Buildings, Office Buildings and more. This position is hands on, from collaborating at schematic phase, assisting the client through design and bidding, observing the project’s construction to project completion and final closeout.
Responsibilities:

Design new or upgrading/replacing existing HVAC systems.

Establish project scope and project fees.
-
Provide design calculations for sizing equipment, ductwork, and ventilation, etc.
-
Design and prepare HVAC drawings and specifications.
-
Provide submittal review for HVAC equipment.
-
Provide site observations during the design and installation of HVAC systems and components and support the startup, testing, and balancing (TAB) activities.
-
Respond to Request for Information (RFIs) that arise during construction.
Qualifications:
-
BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering under an ABET accredited engineering curriculum.

5 + years’ experience in HVAC design.
-
Knowledgeable of international codes, and state building codes and standards

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Hold a Professional Engineer license.

Experience with Autodesk Design Software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM)

Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Trane 3D

Administrative Assistant / Marketing Coordinator:
​
We are currently seeking a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
General administrative support duties and receptionist-type duties include: answer incoming calls; greeting visitors and monitoring visitor access; handle client queries and interact with visiting vendors; filing; generating reports, specifications and other documents.
Marketing Coordinator duties include: preparation of Statements of Qualifications, SF254, SF330; assist with preparation of presentations; assist with coordinating marketing projects; track marketing activities and maintain marketing library materials.
Experience using the following office software: Microsoft Office (advanced experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Adobe Acrobat (Intermediate experience), BlueBeam, QuickBooks, and the ability to learn new software.

Job Experience Preferred / Required:

Preferable experience working in an Engineering/Architectural/Contractor office environment

Writing formal letters/proposals, proper grammar usage

Bidding, advertising, meeting agendas/minutes, payment request review, change orders, submittals, formatting technical specifications
