Mechanical Engineer PE:

We are seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) with experience in HVAC system design to join our team. This role involves full project lifecycle responsibility—from schematic design through construction administration—on a variety of institutional and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC load calculations and ventilation analysis to support equipment selection

  • Design HVAC systems including hydronic systems and air distribution

  • Develop construction drawings (AutoCAD and Revit) and specifications

  • Coordinate with architects, owners, and other disciplines throughout design

  • Support bidding and construction phases, including submittal review, RFIs, and site visits

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience: 4+ years of HVAC design experience in the A/E industry

  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain North Carolina licensure within 6 months

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam

  • Experience with HVAC load and energy modeling software (Trace 3D Plus or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of:

    • HVAC system design and controls

    • Hydronic and airside distribution systems
